Privacy Policy

1. Scope and who we are

This Privacy Policy applies to the DCW Member mobile application, published by Patriots Store LLC for Dinosaur Car Wash (“DCW,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

It covers information processed through the mobile app and the systems used to provide app functionality. Other websites, membership portals, forms, or services that you choose to open from the app may have their own privacy practices.

2. Information we collect and process

The information available to DCW Member depends on the features you use and the information associated with your Dinosaur Car Wash membership.

Information we do not intentionally collect for this app

DCW Member does not require precise GPS location for its current member experience, and we do not use the app to collect advertising identifiers for cross-app behavioral advertising.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

• verify that you are an eligible Dinosaur Car Wash member and sign you into the app;
• display your membership, vehicle, billing-status, wash-activity, savings, and time-saved information;
• operate rewards, offers, polls, Dino Dash, leaderboards, and member personalization features;
• send service and member notifications that you enable, including lane welcome alerts;
• operate and improve app reliability, performance, security, usability, and feature adoption;
• prevent duplicate rewards, abuse, fraud, unauthorized access, and other misuse;
• respond to support requests and troubleshoot problems;
• comply with legal obligations and enforce applicable terms and policies.

4. How we disclose information

We may disclose information to service providers that help us operate the app. They are used only as needed to provide their services to us or to you. These may include:

• FlexWash — customer identity, membership, vehicle, wash, billing-status, and member-portal functionality.
• Twilio — SMS verification used for account authentication and certain account-security flows.
• OpenAI — automated analysis of an optional profile photo when you choose to participate in the dinosaur-photo reward feature.
• Expo and platform push-notification providers — device push tokens and notification delivery through the app, Apple Push Notification service, and Google/Android notification infrastructure as applicable.
• Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers — systems used to host, secure, monitor, back up, and operate DCW Member services.
• Survey or form providers — when you intentionally open an external survey or form from the app.

We may also disclose information if required by law, legal process, or a valid government request; to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, DCW, or others; or as part of a corporate transaction such as a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law.

5. Optional profile photos and automated analysis

DCW Member includes an optional dinosaur-photo reward. If you choose to upload or take a profile photo for this feature, the image may be transmitted to an automated image-analysis service to determine whether the image appears to include:

• a person;
• a physical dinosaur; and
• visible Dinosaur Car Wash or car-wash context.

The feature is not intended to identify the person in the image, perform facial recognition, determine identity, or infer sensitive personal traits. The analysis result is used to determine eligibility for the one-time profile-photo reward.

You can replace or remove the profile photo through the app. Removing a photo does not reset a reward that has already been granted.

6. Push notifications and vehicle-recognition alerts

If you enable notifications, the app may associate a device push token with your account so that we can send relevant member notifications. You can control notification permissions in your device settings and certain DCW notification preferences in the app.

For lane welcome alerts, license-plate or vehicle-recognition information from the car wash membership system may be matched to your DCW Member account to determine whether a welcome notification should be sent.

7. Membership management and payments

The app may display membership pricing, billing dates, billing status, and limited masked payment information received from the membership platform.

When you choose Manage Membership, DCW Member may open the FlexWash member portal. Payment-card entry and membership billing actions performed in that portal are handled by FlexWash and its payment infrastructure, not by DCW Member itself.

8. Data retention and account deletion

We retain DCW Member information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the app, maintain security and operational records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and why it is processed.

Delete your DCW Member app account

You can request deletion directly in the app from Profile → Delete DCW Member app account. The app uses verification to help prevent unauthorized deletion.

Confirmed deletion removes the DCW Member app account and associated DCW-local app data, subject to limited information we may need to retain where required by law, security, fraud prevention, or legitimate recordkeeping obligations.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, loss, or disclosure. These measures include authenticated access, encrypted network connections, access controls, and security monitoring appropriate to the systems involved.

No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your privacy choices

Depending on the feature and your location, you may be able to:

• update certain vehicle-profile and preference information in the app;
• enable or disable push notifications and lane welcome alerts;
• replace or remove an optional profile photo;
• delete your DCW Member app account;
• contact us to ask questions about information associated with your app account.

Depending on where you live, applicable privacy law may provide additional rights regarding access, correction, deletion, restriction, or other handling of personal information. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.

11. Children’s privacy

DCW Member is intended for Dinosaur Car Wash members and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly use the app to collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through DCW Member, please contact us.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app, our services, or legal requirements change. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and may provide additional notice when appropriate.
